MARDI GRAS MUSIC MERGIN WITH BRASIL FA SHOW CD REALESAED U.S.Copyright Office on 7/21/2016.
by CURTIS
PIERRE
This CD is about carnival music of Brasil and New Orleans
I have mixed some of the basic New Orleans Street beats with
some Brazilian rhythms. It has been a very enlightening and
enjoyable experience. I think our New Orleans music can be mixed
with any type of music but for my opinion about which Brasilian
rhythm fits best with New Orleans rhythm it would be a rhythm
call Ilu for the Orixa Yansa. After speaking with my teacher
Jorge Alabe Condomble Master drummer all his life. Alabe means
Cheif of Drummers and knowege of Condomble traditions .
I like to thank all the people that helpedout my wife, my son
Casa Samba Members and Jorge Alabe my whole family for all the
support they have always given. Some of the musicians are Curtis Pierre
aka “The SambaMan” Big Cheif Irvin Banister Big Chief Shaka Zulu,
Drew Mo, Robert Gray, Jorge Alabe,Bomani Pierre and Herman Helphan
"Air-ree buy-fum-ear" translation everybody is from here in New New Orleans
This CD was put together with both live musicians, sequencers
and synthesizers. This music is great for class workouts,
choreography, exercising or just to listen if you want to.
All the rhythms are traditional or a version of traditional form.
